Recruitment Forms, Types and Its Benefits in 2023

            Sources of Recruitment

The companies have different  terms of their size, business, processes and practices. Some decisions by the recruitment managers can affect the productivity and efficiency of the organization.

Firms and organisations not hasitate  different forms of recruitment methods according to the specific needs of the organization. The comapnies can choose from the centralized or decentralized forms of recruitment, explained below:

 

Centralized Recruitment

The recruitment techniques and methodology of an organization are centralized when the HR/recruitment  at the head office performs all functions of recruitment, for all the business verticals and departments of an organization are carried out by the one central HR/recruitment department. common central form of recruitment is genrally seen in practice in government organizations.

Benefits of the common form of recruitment are:

  1. Reduces favouritism, biasness, etc.

  2. Reduces administration costs

  3. Uniformity in recruitment

  4. Interchangeability of staff

  5. Better utilization of specialists

  6. Every department sends requisitions for recruitment to their central office

  7. Ensures the most effective and suitable placement to candidates

Decentralized Recruitment

it becomes important to understand the needs of each department and frame the recruitment policies and procedures accordingly. 

Each department carries out its own recruitment. Choice between the two will depend upon management philosophy and needs of particular organization. In some cases combination of both is used. Lower level staffs and in addition top level officials are enlisted in a decentralized way.
